Still, even back then, Watson got a sense that Eisley — who was announced Friday as an assistant on Juwan Howard's staff at Michigan — could succeed as a college basketball coach.
"I always felt he would be really good as a college coach because of his ability to teach and connect to young people," Watson, who coached at Michigan from 1991-93, told the Free Press.
