PROVO — BYU women's basketball coach Jeff Judkins has never gone up against Auburn, although he sees similarities with the Tigers and the last team he faced in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, which were also Tigers — the Missouri variety.
“Last time we played a team from that conference it was the same deal, and we got beat by Missouri,” Judkins said.
This time around Judkins expects a similar challenge, although he expects this team to be, perhaps, better at preparing for the challenge ahead.
"This team is pretty good at doing that, so I just have to make sure that my time is spent wisely with them,” Judkins said.
FAIR SEEDING: At times, BYU teams have felt they've received the short end of the stick when it comes to seeding in the NCAA Tournament, although Judkins felt a No. 7 seed was about what his team deserved this year.
